Edge is a new jailbreak tweak for iOS 9.x, which will bring a similar experience to the Samsung S7 side interface to iPhone, lets you experience a completely new user interface you’d previously had to completely change platforms for.
If you like Samsung Galaxy S7’s edge feature and want to have something similar on your iPhone, then Edge tweak is a good choice. With Edge you get to customize the interface and add your favorite apps to the menu in addition to recently accessed applications. You can also trigger tasks and access favorite contacts from the Edge interface.
Such as you can access the ‘app view’ by tapping on any app’s icon that allows you to quickly perform an action inside the app without opening it. For example, you can tap on the Safari icon from Edge’s interface to open a new tab, Maps app to mark your current location or Camera app to take a quick selfie. The tweak also offers action shortcuts for several third-party apps, too. The favorite contacts section not only gives you a list of your most important contacts but it also lets you quickly call, email or quick compose a message without launching extra apps.
The tweak is now available at Cydia BigBoss Repo for free, after installation, a new configuration panel will be added in Settings app.
With configurable pages, Edge allows you to quickly open recent apps, trigger tasks, access favorite apps as well as quickly accessing favorite contacts.
The favorite apps and recent apps pages allow you to double tap the icon to bring up the app view to quickly interact with the app without having to fully open it. This is truly a faster way of multitasking.
The tasks edge is extensible and adapts to the apps you have installed. Any shortcut item apps have or created using tweaks like Traverse can be used.
The favorite people page allows you to quickly call the person, email them and even quick compose a message on the fly.
