Two weeks ago, Samsung has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for the Galaxy S6 in South Korea. Today the Android 6.0.1 firmware update is available for download for the Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+ in Korea. Samsung also posted some details on its local blog that are included in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for both of these handsets.
The apps edge feature on the Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+ has been considerably improved in Marshmallow as the pixel size of the panel has been increased from 260 pixels to 550 pixels. This will enable users to enjoy richer content with the expanded panel also providing the ability to incorporate images and easier readability. Tasks edge lets users shoot quick messages, call contacts with just one tap and configure tools like compass or flashlight for easy access. Samsung is rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for the Galaxy S6 edge and the Galaxy S6 edge+ in South Korea today. It has yet to confirm when this update is going to be released for last year’s flagships in other countries across the globe. It’s not like people aren’t waiting for this update to arrive.
